About Dan Brent
With over 20 years of experience in the Australian bicycle industry, Dan Brent has built a reputation as one of the country’s most skilled and knowledgeable bicycle mechanics. Originally trained as an auto mechanic, he transitioned to bicycles early in his career and has since led service departments at some of Sydney’s most respected bike shops.
Dan spent a decade as Head Mechanic & Service Centre Manager at the renowned Clarence Street Cyclery in Sydney’s CBD, where he played a pivotal role in shaping service standards. During this time, he also took on the role of Technical Director of Customer Service and Warranty for Trek Bicycles Australia, overseeing dealer support for more than 200 Trek retailers nationwide.
His extensive experience also includes managing service departments at King St Cyclery and Bikerepairs.com.au. Today, Dan is dedicated to training the next generation of bicycle mechanics, working with 5 Star Training & Consulting, a registered training organisation, where he assesses and mentors industry trainees in Certificate II and Certificate III qualifications in bicycle mechanics.
