Tjanpi Desert Weavers are a social enterprise of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council, working with women in the remote Central and Western deserts who earn an income from contemporary fibre art.
Coming soon
We’re working behind the scenes to bring you an enhanced online experience for Tjanpi Desert Weavers. The new website will showcase the incredible artistry of Indigenous women from the Central and Western Desert regions, offering a rewarding way to explore and purchase their handcrafted fibre art.

Tjanpi (meaning wild harvested grass) began in 1995 as a series of basket-making workshops facilitated by NPY Women’s Council on the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of WA.
While artwork sales support this work, donations help sustain operations, fund community visits, supply materials, and run workshops that keep cultural traditions alive. Your support ensures this legacy continues for future generations.
